The EMERGENCY 3 Conference is a nationwide effort to gather all healthcare proffesionals employed in the sector of First Response, as well as students and volunteers. This gathering enabled the familiarisation between the participants, as well as the dissemination of important experience and knowledge among those present. The conference was also an important opportunity for all gathered to participate in special workshops designed by the hosts and the scientific advisors. The conference was coordinated and hosted by the Hellenic Society of Prehospital Emergency Care (HSPEC) and co-hosted by the Humanitarian Organisation "Kids Save Lives". Dr. Polyzou acted as vice-president of the Scientific Board of the Conference and Dr. Karatzaferi as a scientific member of the same board.

The RESTARTAHEART TRIKALA 2019 event has set this year's theme to "The schools role in the efforts against Heart Attacks" the focus being on educating teachers and parents, so that they can further teach the children. The evening started with lessons and demonstrations and continued on with presentations from various speakers. There was a particular emphasis this year on the importance of the city having more knowledgeable volunteers, and people in social services and police who know how to perform first aid, as they are usually the first to arrive at a possible emergency. The event was organised through the collaborative efforts of the teaching staff of our lab's PMS programme “Exercise and Health”, the Hellenic Society of Prehospital Emergency Care (HSEPC), the Trikala Red Cross, the Trikala municipality and the e-thelones volunteering team.
The seminar was designed and implemented according to the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) standards.

Dr. Polyzou and her volunteering team continued their teaching efforts across the municipality schools for the rest of the year.
